No matter how hard we try, pesky bugs sometimes sneak aboard. If you’ve encountered any of those, we sincerely apologize. But fear not, spacefarers! We’ve just deployed our first patch, packed with bug fixes, polish, and some handy Quality of Life improvements to make your adventure even smoother. 🛠️✨

In a universe as vast as ours, standing out is no small feat—so your support means the world (or, perhaps, the galaxy). Thank you for helping us spread the word!

Here’s the full patch log for Update #1. We can’t wait to bring you even more improvements as we head toward Update #2!

Checkpoint Saves:
Allows for checkpoints on different profiles.
Single player only.
Quit out at any point in a mission and then return to the save point with resources & progress intact.
Enemy Behavior Updates:
Improved enemy movement.
Added enemy patrols in caves.
Tweaked the timing on extraction fights.
New Repair Puzzles:
Added blockers for more challenge.
Large chests now have their own puzzles.
General Fixes:
Fixed maps for all caves
Reprocessing on Missions 9 & 15.
Improved the whip minigame on plants.
Resolved crashing issue on some devices.
Teleport movement now interacts properly with holo platforms.

Improvements:
More enemy balance, pathing and AI improvements
Added ‘Controller based’ movement option
Multiplayer netcode improvements making other players and enemies smoother
Added a ‘Low memory’ mode to help with Quest 2 crashes (default set to ‘on’ for Quest 2 devices)
Bug fixes:
Pick axe should no longer freakout uncontrollably
Pesky ‘ghost bugs’ should now be exterminated
Fixed infinite flight/swim through (most) waterfalls
Fixed player footsteps appearing to sound from behind
Fixed a host of underwater teleporting issues
Resource count now correctly reflects when full
Fabricator UI fix where incorrect items would sometimes display for recipes
Wrist UI storage will now correctly display and not break out of the UI
Blue flyer nerfed (no longer fires infinite death-ray)
Added teleport cool-down
Fixed issue where Helion could only be mined with ‘Pickaxe Power 1’ equipped. Subsequent power levels now also work
Various typo fixes
Mission Fixes:
M4 (Whispers in the Dark): Fixed objective updating to return to ship after finding second of three beacons
M5 (Titanium): Wrist UI objective tab correctly reflects players have Titanium before instructing them to return to ship
M7 (Dark Energy): Added additional breacher safety checks to ensure mission progression
M8 (The Professor): The ‘proceed warning’ popup no longer displays when completing all objectives correctly
M9 (Royalty): Added more safety checks around end of mission ensuring it will register as completed
M13 (Hidden City): Fixed mesh & collision issues

Resource Impact Improvements
Bug fixes:
Fixed sequencing issues around the Mission 3 anomaly, can now breach/ scan in any order and it shouldn't break
Fixed issue where some schematics were not dropping correctly (upgrades for health, grenades etc)
Fixed issue with some upgrades not displaying correctly in skill tree
Fixed a bug where damage numbers didn't show on hammer throws
Fixed a bug where golem would lose aggro after player death
Platform movement smoother in multiplayer on ‘The Descent’
Correctly un-hover devices in the objectives tab, stopping them from stealing crafting input when not focused (Breacher ghost crafting fix)
Fixed an issue where some impact sounds were using the ship hull surface instead of body
Optimised boss music and reduced likelihood of start/stops
Repairing the drive core now actually visually repairs it in the ship
Fixed icon orientation in fabricator
Fixed pickaxe throw mis-hits
Fixed chest game not allowing min contraction and pop delay
Fixes for final boss room fog
Fixed shark(s) not spawning
Fixed wrist UI bug where pickaxe could disappear 
Fixed player level cap (now correctly capping at 20)
Several cave and ship lighting fixes
Quality of Life Improvements:
Schematics now clearly display which tool/weapon the upgrade is for
Added tooltips to recipe ingredients in the fabricator
Added inline crafting to recipe ingredients that have their own recipes in the fabricator
Colored material owned amount as red if not enough for recipe fabrication
Added Upgrade Terminal Tutorial
Added whip to platform schematic to Mission 5 cave
Add non-head based movement options
Increased the range of the teleport arc in anomaly to help navigate more easily
Vortex sphere pop-up more informative
Added extractor warning when players are attempting to leave before the mission objective is complete
Added option to throw pickaxe with grip
Loading tip updates with more useful information
Miscellaneous:
Reduced wasp laser health
Various VO additions and tweaks
Added credits to options menu
Prevented XP gain on minables that you can't damage
Updated pistol texture
